Media Button Video Production

Media Button Vancouver

One of the more challenging parts of filming on location is controlling the environment. Sound, light, people, animals, even insects. If it’s outdoors add weather and time-of-day into the mix of considerations.

Filming your video in the secure controlled environment of either Media Button Vancouver Studio or Kelowna  opens up a wealth of creative opportunities while mitigating or completely eliminating the challenges associated with location filming.

Tips for Studio Production

  • Be objective. It’s very difficult to be unbiased and objective about an on-camera performance. Even seasoned professionals have to work at this. Although there’s a huge thanks due for the testimonial interviewee, they are not likely going to have the most objective view of their own performance. Better yet, look to your video agency’s creative and editing professionals to help.
  • Considerations for on-camera. So you’re going to be on camera. At Media Button we understand that not everyone knows the tricks of the trade when it comes to appearing in front of a camera. Here are a few tips to help you prepare. Choose colours and patterns that suite you and that you are comfortable wearing. Try to stay away from bright red, high-contrasting colours, loud prints and large jewelry. Most of all don’t worry,  Media Button’s helpful Tips & Ticks guide covers these and many more tips and considerations.
  • Make it fun. Brands like Dollar Shave Club, FedEx and many others have made millions with outrageously fun and offbeat videos. If your brand image supports an off-the-beaten-path style then you may want to let your hair down and give them a video that viewers will talk about!
  • Be authentic. Nothing will turn off a viewer faster than a video that comes across as shallow, unbelievable or worse as dishonest. Authenticity is critical for engaging your audience and instilling confidence in them about your brand and your product or service.
